Do you think lawyers do that when they don't have a winning case? The Attorney General in my state is also looking into them for violation of consumer protection statutes. Do you know what that means? They are spending lots and lots of money to launch that suit (lawyer-hours are expensive), all entirely based on the premise that there will be a payoff at the end. That law firm I linked to is taking the class action on contingency. So you can say whatever you want about whether you think it is correct or not - but that does not make it reality, and frankly, I don't really care what your opinion is. All that being said, their practices violate consumer protection laws in my state (and others). I think they do the same thing lots of companies do. I don't think Nord is evil or malicious or anything like that. I meant that it helped multiple people avoid the auto-renewal and instead lock in the discount rates again, not that it helped my own situation.
